Posted on Sunday 6th March 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

The area was hit by a storm yesterday and the early morning wind developed from moderate to strong as the day progressed.

The good news is that the storm has passed and it is a very calm Sunday morning. Over the mountain is blues sky and the forecast is for it to remain at least partially clear. The cold start of -12c will quickly warm up, and a high of +1c is predicted for early in the afternoon. There is no wind at base. The groomers have done a nice job of preparing the slopes and are just heading down the mountain back to base now.
