Posted on Thursday 5th March 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

There are strong winds around the village and light snow is traveling in a sideways direction. There is 3cm of new snow on the ground. Visibility looks very poor due to valley fog and the wind whipping up snow. Furano Ropeway and Kitanomine Gondola are closed. Other lifts are scheduled to operate but will be subject to the wind conditions. Overall it does not look like a good day.
