Posted on Monday 2nd December 2013 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

Furano Ski Area commenced operation for the 2013-14 season yesterday.

Very few made it up for the opening but those who did were treated to the best quality snow I have ever seen on an opening day. 10cm of snow fell Sunday morning and there has been another 10cm fall this morning, so conditions are improving substantially on a day by day basis.

Temperatures are still warmer than is ideal but the top is staying below the magic 0C mark.

Operating lifts:

Furano Ropeway - for access only.

Downhill Romance 2 chair 8:45am-3:00pm

Courses:

Sailer for approx 800m next to Downhill Romance 2 chair.

Information regarding ski area operations is manually checked every morning and is believed to be correct at the time of the report.
