The resort has as advised Kitanomine Gondola will not operate this morning due to wind. It is snowing lightly and there is 4cm of fresh snow on the ground at base. It is windy and blowing strongly around the village, increasing with intensity on the resort. Visibility is limited.
The temperature is -12c and the high for the day will be -8c. With the Gondola closed it will be best to head to the Furano Zone to gain access to upper mountain terrain.
