Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 277cm

Posted on Monday 29th December 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

A whole centimeter of snow last night. Yipee.

The threatened warm temps today will only end up being +1 C, which hardly counts. Tomorrow should be the same, so we've dodged another melt day.

New Year's Eve is gonna drop down to near -20 C, so gonna be cold firework viewing.

Supposed to be some snow tonight.

Think snow.
