Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 329cm

Posted on Thursday 28th December 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

There is light wind blowing around in the village which is still moving the trees a fair bit, but the most intense part of the front has passed. Overnight there has been 5cm of light snow which will be a nice topping on the slopes. Hopefully the Kitanomine Gondola will operate today as there will be premium snow conditions up on the top slopes that haven't been skied on since the weekend. Tomorrow looks like it will be similarly cloudy with light snow through the day.

Kitanomine Zone open.

Furano Zone open.
