Merry white Christmas from Furano. As predicted the rain arrived and it definitely is a front of heavy rain, at the moment anyway. Yesterdays warm temperatures are still here and it will get even warmer today, going up to +5c in the day, before heading back down into solid negatives in the evening. Apart from the rain the wind is likely to increase in intensity this morning to very strong levels which may interfere with lift operations potentially. The good news in all of this is that once the rain has passed a lot of snow will be upon us. In the meantime I'll go and have my coffee, open my presents and wait for the rain to ease up.
