Guten Morgen Skifahrer und Snowboarder.
Another very light dusting of snow overnight. It met the minimum 1 cm threshold, so I am obligated to tell you about it.
But I'm not excited. I'm not animated. The juices are not flowing. It's not gonna stay. Not a chance. The forecasted high on the 27th is PLUS 13 C for crying out loud!! I might actually sweat!
Dismal. As a Brit would say with droll humor, "Not ideal conditions for skiing."
However, there is some positive news, but you have to look for it. Starting Thursday, it's supposed to snow for 3-4 days, BUT the highs are still +4 or 5 C. The best you can hope for is that some of the snow will stick on the upper part of the mountain.
The only other positive thing I can see is that each day that passes is one day closer to when the party will actually start. I'm not really too hung up about it yet. For whatever reason, Furano usually doesn't start the year with a bang, but come it will. Just a question of when.
So Think Snow.
