More snow is needed before Furano Ski Area can open for the 2020-21 winter season.
Last week was unusually warm and melted most of the existing snow on the mountain. This week we are back into more wintery weather and the 10cm at town level today will help the resort move closer towards being able to open.
The rest of week looks very promising with daily snow forecast for the next few days.
