Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 307cm

Posted on Tuesday 24th February 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

It has been snowing since this morning and the snowfall has progressively gotten heavier, however there hasn't been a great deal of accumulation on the ground so far, with about 3cm recorded in the village. The good news is the snow should continue all day and be heaviest overnight. Visibility is limited due to the moderate snow coming down and flat light. Tomorrow and Wednesday should be a mix of cloud and sun.

All lifts operating.
