Furano Ski Area is expected to open for the 2019/2020 winter season on 23 November.
With the skiing nearly upon us it was pleasing to see some heavy snowfalls last week deposit 40cm of snow in the village. The slopes are now completely covered and there is a solid base on the upper mountain.
It has been snowing moderately today and further snowfall is forecast for tomorrow and Thursday.
