New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 396cm

It was a warm day yesterday with a good amount of snow falling. Warmth and snow equated to wet snow which is very different from what Furano usually gets. I've just been to measure the accumulation and it is 10cm in the village, and as you would expect very heavy. The snow has stopped for now but there could be a few more flakes during the day. It is a thin veneer of overcast above and calm in terms of wind. It is going to be another very mild day so the snow on the slopes will be reasonably sticky I think. Best snow should be higher up.
