We have strong wind today combined with heavy snowfall.

Currently winds are strong around the village and the snow is coming in sideways. There is 25cm of new snow at base level and it is forecast to keep snowing all day. Visibility is poor.

The ski area has reported the Kitanomine Gondola will not operate due to wind. It would be best to check with the resort for updates as the weather may cause other lift operations to be suspended.
