New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 358cm

Posted on Tuesday 13th January 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

Cloudy, satisfactory visibility, nice and cold, 4 cm of snow yesterday afternoon, allegedly 25 cm at the top. Woo-hoo!

Wind has died, so Gondola back open today.

BUT, the best news is the Big Snowman has appeared in the weather forecast for late this afternoon and this evening. Again, allegedly, we may have 20+cm on the ground tomorrow morning.

Think snow.
