Welcome to National Foundation Day celebrating the formation of modern Japan after the war.
To celebrate we have some new snow, which is great cuz we needed a top up. It's NOT light and fluffy, but it IS snow, a bit heavy, which means it'll pack really well. Just under freezing, so quite warm today.
Today is the Furanon Ski Trial Race at 1:00 PM, sign up begins at noon at the Gondola base. Whoever skis the course in the time closest to the time achieved by the Furanon mascot is the winner.
Think snow.
