Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 205cm

Posted on Saturday 10th January 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

Another great sunny day out there but made better with the reduced winds. The sun will make appearances through the clouds throughout the day and snow fall will be fairly light.

Early last night was some solid powder falls (around 10cm) which should also add to the excitement of the day.

Kitanomine now has a box rail set up on the front slope for the tricksters out there. If you want a break, have a rest down there and watch some of the boarders this weekend as yesterday they were hitting it hard and there were some good riders showing how its done.
