  1. Mamabear, that sounds ridiiiiculous, I'm definitely trying that dish out and booking at Secca. Why are reservations such a necessity at restaurants in Niseko? Seems suprising, guess Niseko is super popular and their aren't enough fine dining establishments to meet demand? And being there early in the season, Dec 1-6, would you recommend I lock in reservations for all nights else I risk not having a place to eat? Fairly beginner snowbaorders and totally new to Niseko so not sure what our days will be like, what time we should expect to be dining in the evening.
  2. Thanks all for the insight...booked at the Setsumon! Excited for it all! Now on to planning where to rent boards from, best place to get private lessons from and where to take the lady for good eats ...any suggestions?!
  3. Thanks everyone for thoughts! Not sure where everyone is located but it is nighttime here in LA so just got home and powered the laptop back up to see all of this great info! Lots of great feeback on Niseko. Any insight on Tomamu? Guessing snow won't be plentiful there but they say lifts open December 1, what's the reality, usually skiing then or no? 5. Thanks Ezorisu! Yeah, seems like a real crapshoot anywhere we go for snow but it's our honeymoon so just going to wing it! I hear you on there not being high end hotel accomadations in Hirafu, if you had to pick between low end hotel in Hirafu or staying at the Hilton which would you choose?
  6. Hi and thanks for having me, new poster here... I'm traveling to Hokkaido for my Honeymoon December 1-6 and looking for the best place to spend the week. I know it's super early in the season and many places will have little or no snow. We've been looking at Niseko but are wondering what other areas will have a good chance at snow then? Tomamu looks like a high quality resort area to go and get spoiled at (perfect for a honeymoon) but I'm concerned there won't be any snow on the ground then there, does anyone know? Niseko looks like the best likelihood of snow, but for a honeymoon co
