Yonezawa is located to the south east of central Yonezawa city in the south-eastern region of Yamagata Prefecture. It is also easy to get to from Fukushima city using Route 13.
Yamagata Prefecture is located in the south-west part of Tohoku with the west coast facing the Sea of Japan. The boundaries of Yamagata Prefecture are all mountainous with Niigata Prefecture and Fukushima Prefecture to the south, Akita Prefecture to the north and Miyagi Prefecture to the east. The ski and snowboard ski hills in Yamagata range from very small one-lift local hills to the biggest individual ski resort in Japan (Zao Onsen) and are spread across the Prefecture.

The 'Kids Area' ia located by the main base area in front of Number 1 Lodge. There is also a sledging area near base.
The 'Board Park' is located by the Number 2 pair lift.

Nighta (5:00pm-9:00pm) is scheduled for every day from Saturday 22nd until Monday 24th December 2018, Friday 28th December 2018 until 20th January 2019. After that on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays until Sunday 10th March 2019.

Getting to Yonezawa
By public transport

Yonezawa is about 11km from Yonezawa Station on the Yonesaka line and Yamagata Shinkansen line.
A local bus is available that stops close by the ski hill.
The journey from Yonezawa Station takes about 30-35 minutes and costs 300 yen for adults and 150 yen for children.
The ski resort information currently shown on SnowJapan is from the 2018-2019 season. Over the summer and autumn months we will be checking and then updating information. Please note that planned ski resort opening dates are often very similar every year, so the dates from the 2018-2019 season can be taken as a good idea of what to expect next season.
