Yudonosan is located to the north west of Gassan in the eastern area of Tsuruoka city in the north-western region of Yamagata Prefecture.

Yamagata Prefecture is located in the south-west part of Tohoku with the west coast facing the Sea of Japan. The boundaries of Yamagata Prefecture are all mountainous with Niigata Prefecture and Fukushima Prefecture to the south, Akita Prefecture to the north and Miyagi Prefecture to the east. The ski and snowboard ski hills in Yamagata range from very small one-lift local hills to the biggest individual ski resort in Japan () and are spread across the Prefecture.

Lift Ticket Information 2019-2020 Season Lift Tickets

The 4 Hour ticket is valid for four hours from the time of purchase.
The 2 Hour ticket is valid for two hours from the time of purchase.

A Family ticket for 1 adult and 1 child is 3,600 yen.
A Family ticket for 2 adults and 1 child is 6,100 yen.

The third Sunday of the month is Children's Day when elementary school age children can ride the lifts for free.

Ladies Day is the first Saturday of the month and every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 40% off (1,920 yen).

Yudonosan is close to the Yudonosan IC exit on the Yamagata Expressway.

From the Yudonosan IC exit, turn left onto Route 112 and continue on this road for about 3.5km until reaching the turn off for the ski hill. Turn left and follow the signs up to the car parks.

There are a few car parks at the base of the ski hill for about 800 vehicles. Parking is free every day of the season.
