Kurobushi Kogen Snow Park Jangle Jungle - often known as just 'Jungle' (or is it 'Jungle'?!) - is located to the north east of Yamagata City in the eastern region of Yamagata Prefecture. The slopes are north facing with good views Mt Kurobushi. It is located about twenty minutes from the central area of Higashine city and is also about an hour from Sendai city.
Yamagata Prefecture is located in the south-west part of Tohoku with the west coast facing the Sea of Japan. The boundaries of Yamagata Prefecture are all mountainous with Niigata Prefecture and Fukushima Prefecture to the south, Akita Prefecture to the north and Miyagi Prefecture to the east. The ski and snowboard ski hills in Yamagata range from very small one-lift local hills to the biggest individual ski resort in Japan (Zao Onsen) and are spread across the Prefecture.
A free shuttle bus is available from Sakuranbo Higashine Station on weekends and holidays.
It leaves the station at 8:10am and 9:30am and takes about 25-30 minutes to get to the ski resort.
Various tour bus services to the resort are also available.

The location of this resort makes it fairly easy to get to from a number of expressways.
It is located just under 11km off Route 48 to the east of Tendo city and to the north west of Sendai city in Miyagi Prefecture.
The resort is just over 50km from the Sendai Miyagi IC on the Tohoku Expressway which is about a 60 minute drive.
From Yamagata Kita IC the journey is about 40 minutes.
