Oku Daizen is located in Kofu town to the south west of Yonago city in Tottori Prefecture. It is on the southern slopes of Mt Daisen - a volcanic mountain with an elevation of over 1700m, making it the highest in the Chugoku region. There are three other separate ski hills on the slopes of Mt Daisen - Daisen White Resort, Daisen Masumizu Kogen and Kagamiganaru.

Oku Daizen has not been open since the 2019-2020 winter season.

Tottori Prefecture is located in the Chugoku region of western Japan. There are a number of ski and snowboard resorts in the Tottori, with most gathered around Mt Daisen in the western region of the prefecture.

Oku Daizen is under 14km from the Kofu IC exit on the Yonago Expressway and 19km from the Hiruzen IC exit on the same road.

From the Kofu IC exit, turn left onto Route 181 and after 1.5km turn left onto Route 482. After 5km on this road km there is a turn off to the left for Prefecture Road 45. Turn left here and follow the road for 4.5km until reaching a junction. Turn left onto Prefecture Road 45 and follow the signs to the ski hill.
