Okutone Snow Park is a ski and snowboard resort located close to the centre of Minakami Town in the northern region of Gunma Prefecture. Access is simple! The base of Okutone Snow Park is just 10km from the Minakami IC via main roads... there's no windy and steep mountain roads, and so it is easy to get to - even without snow road driving experience. By train, Okutone Snow Park is a 40 minute bus ride from the Jomo Kogen Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen bullet train line.

2017-2018 is the second season for a new upper ski lift and course at Okutone Snow Park, offering some splendid views of the surrounding mountains.

Gate House

The Gate House is the base building at Okutone Snow Park.
With the car park and bus drop off just outside, inside you can find all the facilities needed to get your day of skiing and snowboarding underway - including lift tickets, equipment rental, locker rooms and a shop.

Rest House

The Rest House can be found in the central area of the ski hill and open from 8:00am until 9:00pm.


How to get to Okutone Snow Park

The journey from Tokyo to the resort takes about two hours.

By Car

Okutone Snow Park is located just to the north of the central town area of Minakami.
The resort is just 10km from the Minakami IC (水上IC) exit of the Kanetsu Expressway (関越自動車道) which in turn is 141km from Nerima IC (練馬IC) of the same road.
The journey from Tokyo to the resort takes about two hours.

By Train

Using the Joetsu Shinkansen (上越新幹線) from Tokyo Station (東京駅), the journey to Jomo Kogen Station (上毛高原駅) takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes.
A public transport bus from Jomo Kogen Station (上毛高原駅) to Okutone Snow Park takes about 40 minutes.
