Ninox Snow Park (often just known as Ninox) is located on the western slopes of Ninojodake, to the east of Shibata City in the northern region of Niigata Prefecture. It is one of the few resorts in the Kaetsu region of Niigata Prefecture and is a popular resort for people based in both Shibata and nearby Niigata city.
Niigata Prefecture is located in the central region of Honshu to the north of Tokyo and has a 250km long coastline facing the Sea of Japan. Convenient transportation links make Niigata very easy to get to from Tokyo and other surrounding regions. There are over 50 ski and snowboard resorts in Niigata Prefecture, ranging from small one-lift hills to some of the most well-known and popular ski resorts in Japan. While they are dotted around the mountains of the prefecture, most are concentrated in the southern regions - in particular the Yuzawa town and Minamiuonuma city area in the Chuetsu region and Myoko city in the Joetsu region.
A shuttle bus is available from Shibata Station and takes about 20 minutes to get to the resort.

As the 2018-2019 winter season approaches, we are gradually updating the information on these pages (for every ski resort in Japan).
Many ski resorts in Japan do not update their own information until late autumn. Our process of updating information will be ongoing right through until the end of November. In the meantime, ski resorts usually open and close around the same dates each year - so even if the planned season dates shown on this page are still from the 18-18 season, they can be used as a good indication of the upcoming season.
