Fujiyama Snow Resort Yeti
Shizuoka Prefecture

Snow Town Yeti official name change

Snow Town Yeti - often just known as Yeti - is famous for always being the first outdoor ski resort in Japan to open every season... albeit with 100% artificial snow. This season it opened on 19th October.

Yeti is located on the southern foothills near Mount Fuji in Susono city, Shizuoka Prefecture and on a clear day some fine views of Mt Fuji can be enjoyed from the slopes.

The slopes of this resort actually go down from the main 'base area', so the top of the ski lifts are actually by base rather than the other way round.

Anyway, the resort is now officially known as Fujiyama Snow Resort Yeti.

That's an all-katakana 「フジヤマ スノーリゾート イエティ」 in Japanese.
