Hunter Mountain is one of the biggest and most popular ski and snowboard resorts close to the Tokyo metropolitan area. The resort features a longest run of 3000m and 12 courses in total. These courses are serviced by a fast gondola, two quad lifts and seven ski lifts in total. As well as a snow park featuring rails, kickers and a half-pipe, there is also lots for families with young children including a large Kid's Park, a Family Park and a babysitting service. Kids Park for young children
Entry to the Kids Park costs 1,000 yen for children over 12 years of age and 1,200 yen for children ages 3-12 years. The charges include rental of sledges and other items. People with a 4 hour or more ski lift ticket are eligible for a 200 yen discount.
The Family Park is found on the Family course in the main resort area and is free to use. There is also a babysitting service in the Children's House building (charges apply).

Getting to Hunter Mountain
Hunter Mountain is located in Nasu Shiobara city in the northern region of Tochigi Prefecture.
By train & bus
The resort is within easy reach from the Nasu Shiobara Station on the Tohoku Shinkansen train line. A shuttle bus is available from Nasu Shiobara Station and the journey takes about 70 minutes to the resort. There is also a shuttle bus from Kinugawa Onsen Station which is on the Tobu Kinugawa line. That bus takes about 60 minutes from the station to the resort. Both buses are free but require reservations in advance.
By car
Hunter Mountain is about 29km from the Nishi Nasuno Shiobara IC exit of the Tohoku Expressway. From the exit turn right onto Route 300 and then follow the signs to the resort. There is parking for 3500 vehicles by the base of Hunter Mountain. On weekdays, parking is free. On weekends and holidays, parking is 1000 yen per vehicle.
