Grandeco Snow Resort is located in the eastern region of Kita Shiobara village in Fukushima Prefecture. The resort is in an area to the north of Mt Bandai that is known for usually receiving the most amount of snow in the region. With heavy snowfalls the resort often enjoys a long season into early May. Grandeco Snow Resort has been operating since 1992.
For the 2020-2021 season the Gondola and Number 4 quad lifts will be rested on weekdays - they will be open as normal on weekends and national holidays.
Fukushima Prefecture is composed of three main regions - the Hamadori region to the east (including the Pacific Ocean coastline), the Nakadori region (the central area) and the Aizu region (the Western mountainous region). Many of the ski and snowboard resorts in the prefecture are found on or near Mt Bandai and Mt Adatara to the north of Lake Inawashiro. Most of the others can be found scattered across the western region of the Aizu region or to the south-west of Lake Inawashiro.
Ski and snowboard lessons are available at Grandeco Snow Resort.
