Aga town is colder than the rest of Kaetsu, so watch the weather reports. It went down to minus 10 last night, and Mikawa snow was actually squeaky at the top of the first lift.
The resort is small, but it is good for early season training if they get snow.
Mikawa has the least snow of any of the Kaetsu areas. You will want to go on a day when there has been overnight new snow and temperatures on the day of no more than 3°C. Wait until mid-season to go to Mikawa as they get so little snow these days, their opening is delayed
Went up during night time, 5pm-9pm. Good place to take beginners or to goto right after work. No waiting in the lift lines. Only 2 slopes open at night so things can get boring very quickly.
I like to go here with friends who are beginners or to test out new equipment
