I was lucky enough to work here for a ski school (teaching JHS skis and snowboard) during the seasons listed above.
It's weird because living here in Tokyo now not many people even know you can get turns down in West Japan, Hyogo prefecture. Anyway based on my experience in excess of 150 days on snow here I must be qualified to write something about this
I've spent a LOT of time on this hill teaching skis to JHS students. It feels like its really in the sticks compared with the well known resorts in Nagano / Niigata etc. But we used to hitchhike from the nearest station often when coming back from a mission into Osaka (about 2 Hours traffic free). Wasn't a problem.
Hachi does have some sick terrain if you know where to go. A lot of it is accessed by those
Snow was good, but a couple of chairs were still closed as of December 26th, including the new one that connects it to Hachikita! Bummer Dude! When will that chair open?? It is important to have all the options open!
Oh yeah, found some great snow there that day! And it appears to have dropped 20cm more since then! Let the good times role
