Completely a midweek course. When I arrived weds I thought the hotel/slopes were closed cos it was that empty. Picks up on the w/e but still not as busy as Niigata/Nagano.
When snowing they dont use the snowcats and there is powder/fluffy stuff everywhere. However, a little bit of sun and they snowcat everything which then turns to sheet ice becos it's so cold. NANDE YO???

Went to Tashiro-Mitsumata-Kagura early April 2004 for 5 days (not w/e).
Superb sunshine added to a terrific resort with huge open runs, friendly staff and good to tough courses for intermediates. Probably not much for the truly advanced but great up to that level. Try and avoid the Gondola run because it's flat as a pancake in parts which is bad enough on ski's but a nightmare on a board.
Top resort(s) with less people and better courses than Naeba or
