Hakkoda review
This review has been 4 years in the making with this past year defining it all. Hakkoda is it when it comes to learning and elevating your boarding. All it takes is a desire to improve. If boarding to you is groomed runs, lots of amenities, parks and a fashion show then go to Appi. If you are serious about deep snow, trees, steeps and almost spirtual runs every now and then go to Hakkoda.

This was the best time I have had snowboarding yet.

It snowed 30 cm in the 6 hours that we were there and was the best powder I have been in. It was a weekday so there were no crowds and nice long runs.

If you are looking for something more than the normal 4 near Misawa, drive the extra 40 minutes and find someplace great

This was my first attempt at snowboarding and the conditions made for a challenging day.

Most of the mountain was closed but there was enough smaller runs to get me going. Once I got my balance down we went to the top and the conditions were sub arctic at best. When we got of the gondolla the winds were at least 50 MPH and blowing snow that felt like sand. I thought I saw Sir Edmond Hillary planting a flag
