1st time to Joetsu kokusai and I was not disappointed. Large resort with quite a lot of different options to choose from, some kickers of different sizes if thats your thing (half pipe not available yet) wide runs and amazing views.
When we was there the snow quality was not that great and it was a very warm day but I'm sure after a major dump and lower temperatures this place would be awesome.
In the morning the snow was hard pack but as the sun came out it soften up by lunch.
Cant ride down to the carpark at the moment you have to come down by the gondola but it's still early...all in all we had a good day, the lines for the tickets and lifts moved along very smoothly and for being the 2nd of December it
I visited Furano last christmas and have just booked again for this year...I LOVE THIS PLACE.
I wouldn't class myself as the best rider in the world but I have been to many resorts in Gunma, Nigata, Nagano, Tochigi, Fukushima and Hokkaido in 9 years of riding in Japan and out of every resort I have I have ever been to FURANO rocks!
