Takasu Snow Park review by BigKahuna
Spent a few days both here and Dynaland and was great.

During the week, so not so crowded which is important for me with a keen 5 yr. old. Speaking of, the kids school was VG. Nice staff who related well and knew their stuff. Not expensive and as we went mid-week only snobee-chan in the class it became cheap private lessons. Good kids gelende & facilities.

Terrain is varied and interesting with some nice long runs. Lots of folks slide off piste and the trees and don't seem to be troubled by patrol. Lots of park stuff scattered all over which kinda broke down "Da Park" image which can be intimidating. Snow was nice and squeaky and I suspect it gets the goods most of the time.

Huge restaurant area seperated well into smoking/non-smoking. Definite reccomendation for West Japan-ites - it's a few hours closer than Nagano etc. Mix it with the other close resorts for a fun time - but probably avoid on weekends if you can.
Date visited: No specific date.
Snow condition on visit: Good at first then 40cm of dry pow fell
Things I liked: Wide(ish), good lifts, easy access, kids school
Things I didn't like: --
