Although it is the fuerthest of the main resorts from Numata interchange along route 120 towards Nikko, it is well worth the extra 20 minutes drive.

The slopes are excellent, catering for all levels of Skiers and Snowboarders, the "powder snow" is just great and for some reason, the ski lifts are not crowded to get on.

For families there is a Child Care centre which charges 2,500 yen for half a day. Kids must be over 2 years of age to attend.

Negative points are the restaurants which are overcrowded and queueing and racing to get the next vacating seat can be an undugnified scrum sometimes. Smoking areas take total precedence save for about 20 seats. Best to bring your own food and drink.
