What an incredible experience!

I always heard about niseko, "you gotta go to niseko!" and "you haven't skied japan's best until you've been to niseko!". but i also heard a lot of not-so-great reviews (on this website) that left me with very mixed feelings. So what I did when I went up to niseko, was to set my expectations low, so either way I wouldn't be surprised. Well, surprised I was, because after having set my expectations so low, we had such an incredible time with perfect conditions and minimal crowds, one couldn't have asked for a better weekend. This may have been the most spectacular weekend of snowboarding I've ever experienced - no kidding. Niseko is the real deal. Powder, wide open trails, tree runs, what ever it is you want niseko hirafu has it.

The best run of course was from the very top down along the right side through the trees - maybe it was called the 'alpen' course. my vote is that niseko is by far the best resort in japan - just by the fact that even on a 3 day weekend crowds were no where to be found by japan standards - and in my limited ski/snowboard career, probably the best that I''ve skied!

GO NISEKO!
