Kiroro resort review (Akaigawa Village, Hokkaido)

Powder real deep but slope not steep
We day tripped from Niseko, signed up for the off-piste "no hike" side country area, then waded through thigh deep snow in the trees. The snow seemed a slight bit heavy which made it difficult to move downhill at times since the terrain was not very steep. It was bitterly cold as well with wind so we had to warm up every few runs. I would like to catch a rare good weather day following snow which must be incredible. Had a lot of fun here.
Date visited: From 02 February, 2017 To 02 February, 2017
Snow condition on visit: Powder, and lots of it. Cold!
Things I liked: Very deep snow. Good lift infrastructure.
Things I didn't like: Cold. Not steep enough to maintain momentum in the deep snow. Took awhile to figure out how the off-piste authorization system works, but an English speaking staff member was patient helping out.
