Hoshino Resort Alts Bandai resort review (Bandai Town, Fukushima)

I noticed that the last review was from before the tsunami and nuclear accident. Don't stay away from Fukushima ski areas; they can be brilliant.

The slopes are well groomed and when the weather is nice (as on Friday the 6th), the scenery is beyond beautiful all the way down – Mt. Bandai towering over the ski area and the Aizu valley and Lake Inawashiro at your feet.... great!

The food in the restaurants is a little pricey, but not for this scale of an area. There is a Dörner Kebab truck outside where you can pick up a less expensive snack.
Date visited: From 06 March, 2015 To 06 March, 2015
Snow condition on visit: Fresh 10cm on well-groomed slopes.
Things I liked: Sun (I live in Niigata)! Long runs. No lines!
Things I didn't like: Slightly pricey food for what you get.
