Great beginner resort!
We started coming here in early December of 13', not long after the resort opened. It's very conveniently located for us so it was an obvious choice.

It has a very wide, very accommodating beginner hill that was a great starter spot for my wife and I, with my only complaint being that heavy traffic on this hill can leave the snow conditions less than desirable for beginners. Especially early season the bunny hill feels more like concrete than snow about mid way through a high traffic day, so falling is extremely unforgiving.

The intermediate runs here are good, a slightly steep step up from the green but not terrible and rewarding to tackle. There's also a small but entertaining snow park for people who want to try their hand at jumping/pipe riding. I particularly enjoy the pipe.

The restaurant is great, the atmosphere is good and although it can be a little crowded I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, inexpensive ski or snowboard trip in the Iwate prefecture.
Date visited: From 25 December, 2013 To 20 March, 2014
Snow condition on visit: Varied, early December not so great but much better later in the year and into early 14'.
Things I liked: Good atmosphere, great restaurant, good for beginners.
Things I didn't like: Not great for advanced boarders, not a lot of difficulty in the so called "blacks". Snow conditions can be dodgy in the early part of the season.
