Okunakayama Kogen resort review (Ichinohe Town, Iwate)

Excellent Value
Medium size ski resort, with nice powder snow. Lower slopes are excellent for beginners, with wide open slopes. Even on the busy Coming of Age long weekend there was plenty of space, especially away from the main slope. Upper slopes are more challenging, with long runs available.

Had a small snow park, not enough for the advanced boarder..

If coming by train, there are some cheap deals with Iwate Galaxy Railway, but watch out for infrequent connecting bus services at Okunakayama Kogen station.

English signage is ok.
