Miyagi Zao Eboshi review by Joey B
I've been to Eboshi several times. On a snowy day, it can be a lot of fun. Of course this is Miyagi, so it can easily warm up in the morning and in that case the conditions are not so hot.

This day I took my girlfriend here to learn to snowboard. The gondola is nice but the condition that high up were icy and wind blows off any incoming powder. Lower down the trails are beaten enough that its much better terrain. On the right of the gelende there is a lift that will take you as far as this lower trail, but unfortunately a beginner will have to struggle across a flat area to make it there; either way tough for a straight beginner.

I give this place three stars because it has a convenient gondola, on a snowy day its a pretty fun resort, and I think maybe some of the crappy parts are good experience for new boarders ;) On the other side the lift/gondola placement leaves a bit to be desired, the conditions tend to be sub-par, and 11 trails means a good boarder will finish all the trails by mid-morning.

Snow condition on visit: Icy to moderate
Things I liked: Good place to learn
Things I didn't like: Small and conditions can be tough
