Went here new years day.

The entrance area is a bit drab and the stairs from the car park up to the snow annoying.

The beginner runs down the bottom are good (but a little short) for warming up before heading up the gondola to the top.

The main run is supposed to split in two about 1 fifth the way down but the advanced route was cordoned off.

Halfway down when the two runs rejoin there is quite a steep section which for me as a low intermediate found challenging but able to do if done slowly. It got treacherous after the 4th run by which time was early afternoon and was starting to ice up in the shadows making turns a bit difficult.

All in all its probably the best place to go if you're in this part of Nagano - wouldn't go here especially when other parts of the prefecture has better offerings though.
Date visited: From 01 January, 2011
Snow condition on visit: Good but Icy by 2pm in the shadows
Things I liked: Good snow cover, quiet and challenging main run
Things I didn't like: Lack of variety of runs
