Rusutsu Resort review by David
Speend 4 days in the resort. Got a north wing room, and ski locker, and needed to walk 10 to 15 mins to go to ski school or eggs to go to Isola. (carring the kids skis get really tiring). The resort is really badly designed, main hotel far from slopes. have to go up and down with ski shoes...etc

The snow was ok, 2 days great, 1 day icy and gravel, not so good.

The slopes are too easy. The reds are flat (really green somewhere else) and the black are mostly not groomed making it difficult for intermetiate skiers. On week day, not the whole moutain is open, limiting the number of available slopes.

I enjoyed but would probably not return.

- too expensive (all dinner options are the same price 4725 yen)

- too much walking, too long to get to slopes
Date visited: From February, 2009
Snow condition on visit: Lots of it various
Things I liked: no one. Often alone on the slopes, nice resort, lots of activities outside of skiing
Things I didn't like: Resort is badly designed. Need to walk a lot to go from one eara to the other, runs a flat
