Megahira Onsen Megahira review by snowbunny
I've been very pleased with the conditions at Megahira.

I've probably gone over 20 times to this resort. When there is fresh snowfall, the powder rivals Lake Tahoe. The artificial snow making is much better here than in the states, for instance Big Bear in California. It's a good place for all skill levels. There are lots of food options too and they're delicious. There is also a free foot onsen near the parking lot to soak your toes after a long hard day on the slopes.

When it is busy, watch out for the many human obstacles in the middle of the runs.

There is no longer a park here but rather, a natural obstacle course in place of the boxes and rails that used to be there before 2007.

Overall, I highly recommend it.
Date visited: From February, 2007
Snow condition on visit: A good mix of powder, not that much ice
Things I liked: Lots of trails and up to date facilities.
Things I didn't like: Weekends can be busy.
