We left Tokyo around 4am and selected the best route (cost effective), and arrived at Hunter around 10am.
The parking could be free for such a resort but it wasn't. We rented carving sets at around 2000 each for our guests from a local store on the way. It was snowing whole day, so we could not make the best of our day, however it was not too bad as long as we could climb to the upper parts. The lower half of the resort was a total appointment for intermediates since it was too flat. The nighta was also a waste of effort since only the very flat run was open. The 5 hour lift ticket was an advantage since we arrived late.
I would go back next season for another one-day-return group experience.
No specific date.
Snow condition on visit:
Good, powder for most of the slopes
Things I liked:
Reasonable distance from Tokyo, gondola
Things I didn't like:
Too long flat runs on the bottom, beginner crowds on the bottom
