I timed it well and went on a very fine day with the sun out and fresh snow on the slopes.

I have been a few times before but not recently and this time I enjoyed it more than I have before... it's a really decent place to check out. Especially if you are upper-beginner / intermediate level.

The resort is basically split into 3 parts - the right hand side as you look at the mountain is the least interesting. It's good for beginners though.

The left hand side is where the Gondola is that takes you up to the top and from there access "The Bowl". Often really good snow conditions up there and about 5 decent runs all coming down to the same central area. I spent a few hours up there and it's my favourite part of the resort.

There are a few decent courses coming down the hill as well. (I think they call that part The Valley).

The bottom area run back to the Gondola is almost flat.... maybe even too flat for beginners! (Or maybe not!)

Worth a day to check it out.
Snow condition on visit: Great
Things I liked: Nice slopes, fantastic views, not crowded
Things I didn't like: Not many really - Korakuen area is a bit boring
Recommended for: Beginner riders
Intermediate riders
Not recommended for: Off-piste opportunities
