Tsugaike Kogen review
This was our first time there, and we were pleased to find plenty of runs our 6 yr old could do. There was also a Sun Kids sledding area the 3 year old enjoyed.

The upper mountain had great views, but not much in the way of challenging runs. It also was crowded by about 10am on Saturday morning, with waits of up to 5 minutes (not that bad, I know). Lifts at the top were poorly organized, with 50 people trying to form 2 lines...

Gondola takes a while to get up there-skipped theline at the bottom and jumped on at the mid-point.

A LOT of novice boarders sitting around on the upper slopes, making the mid-level runs hard to navigate.

A good area overall, but too crowded on weekend and condition of snow was more like end of March, not beginning.
Date visited: From 03 March, 2007 To 04 March, 2007
Snow condition on visit: Fair, then turning to slush by 11am
Things I liked: Expanse of area, plethora of runs for kids
Things I didn't like: Less challenging, the masses of novice boarders
