New Greenpia Tsunan review by Tony Emmel
As a total novice and this being my first time ever at a ski resort bear with this review a little please.

New Greenpia is a well set out course with friendly staff and a family type atmosphere. Lift lines were very short. Runs are smooth, narrow at the top areas and wider as you decline. If I could manage to stand and ride the slopes here it is not for experienced boarders. Alpine skiers dominate the runs as do young school students on excursion. Plenty of places to rest, food and drink also easily accessible. Makes for a good half day. Onsen on site in the hotel complex. Good for people living in Niigata, Nagaoka or Nagano city. Would not recommend it for Tokyo residents as its a bit off the track and takes time to drive there. Parking is free and only 1 min walk to the base lift.

Overall a cool place to hang out, the views are superb from the top.
Date visited: From 27 January, 2007
Snow condition on visit: Soft powder type snow, hard in some flat areas
Things I liked: Not busy, friendly staff, good for beginners, excellent views, not busy.
Things I didn't like: Need a car to get there. Transport connections not good. Most runs are quite short.
