Whipped up to Kurumayama last Friday, was expecting shite after all the rain but was pleasently surprised. At first hard and fast, then sunny and getting a bit softer, good view of Fuji, then started snowing so nice pow on a solid base.
I was not expecting much after reading my fellow Kiwi's review below, but it was really pretty good.
Got a park close to the base, some guy offered us discount coupons for the lift pass - Y3000!
Never waited in line all day.
One good thing is that you can ski across the whole mountain, you are not restricted to being herded down to the bottom, you can traverse all over the show and make up some cool runs.
Down side is the flat run out to the lifts.
Sure it's no TC, well not even close, but for a day out from the big smoke for a fang I can't complain! Great for learners too.
I wouldn't ski there for more than a day in a row, bit for that one day it's good!
