Though Ninnox is a very small resort, it has lots to offer.
I have ridden this resort frequently for the last 4 seasons. Hit it up early after a fresh snow and you'll have fast fresh lines for the first hour or two. But its not for the faint hearted, the narrow steep course keeps you on your toes, if you keep your eyes open there are also a few nice little off piste lines to be had.
Ninnox's main draw however for boarders (and skiers) is it's park.
The park is exceptionally well maintained with a good range of jumps and rails, the transitions not only allow beginners to learn how to jump but also more advanced riders to wire more difficult tricks. Four stars seems exceptionally high for this small resort but its fun board park, friendly staff and amazing views of Niigata city from the top make it well worth the trip especially if you live in Niigata.
Snow condition on visit:
Good after a fresh fall, late afternoon tends to be slushy and slow
Things I liked:
Well maintained and groomed park and friendly staff
