One word sums up this decent sized resort on the less glamorous side of Zao, and that's potential.

The resort is well laid out with a gondola halfway up the hill and then chairs to the top. There are a number of ways down which suit a range of skill levels, from a gentle run all the way down to some mogulled up steeps to challenge those who rate themselves.

Unfortunately all the interesting stuff is out of bounds but my mouth was watering riding up some of the lifts. With a decent guide this hill would be a lot of fun. If you're in the area give it a crack.
Date visited: From 16 February, 2006
Snow condition on visit: Light powder
Things I liked: Gondola, good size
Things I didn't like: Overzealous roping off
