Aizu Kogen Nango review
Damn good place for boarders, second time here and place has been great both times.

It's a fair way from the IC so not too many on the slopes, we spent most of our time up the top of the hill and had the place virtually to ourselves the whole time (and this was on a Saturday!!).

When your up the top of the hill, turn right and you find a little single lift, really quiet slope that has great snow,

Numajiri review by Zer0star
Went to Numajiri on the Sunday of a long weekend but the crowds weren't too bad. Some group ski classes got in the way at times though.

Had an awesome dump of snow the day and night before and was still snowing and rather windy, conditions that many Japanese don't like to venture out in. In the morning, had the top runs almost to ourselves and we knew we had to make the most of it cause the wind was picking

Grandee Hatoriko Ski Resort review by Zer0star
Have a season pass and have been a few times this season. The best thing about this place (apart from being the closest for me) is the cheap season pass. 25000 yen and includes parking. Not bad for a medium sized resort. I think the fact that most places in Fukushima prefecture charge 1000 yen for parking is ridiculous. Space isn't a problem and it doesn't require much maintenance.

Hatoriko doesn't get a much snow as Aizu way and they have

Grandeco Snow Resort review by zer0star
Was very lucky and copped two great powder days at Grandeco. The 29th was insane, must have snowed 50cm during the day. The runs up the top weren't crowded and we stuck to them most of the day. Lots of annoying beginners down the bottom runs.

Nothing too steep here, and the occasional flat parts can be overcome if you pay attention.

Food at the restaurant in the top gondola house was great and quite resonable.

The road to Grandeco is pretty

Urabandai Nekome review by Zer0star
Visited Nekoma on Christmas Day and was surprised by the difference in quality of snow throughout the resort. The area on the right seemed to be the best, the top copped some sun and slushed up whilst the middle iced up.

The runs up the top are quite steep and very unfortunatley carved into moguls by the skiers, rendering them impossible for boarders. Would be some great runs on a big powder day. This place is more for intermediate, advanced riders

Inawashiro Resort review
Did a nighta here with dreams of a great variety of runs with the twisting beginner course down the middle. Ended up running it once, had dark spots and was quite skinny with a wall on one side and a drop off into trees on the other. Would hate to see this run on a busy day packed with beginners!

Two lifts on the right running, nice and long courses but slow lifts leave you cold. Course iced up even more
